On a Personal Note…
Prior to ordination, Kirsty spent her career as a small business owner. Her distinctive energetic, friendly, and entertaining style of speaking to crowds was honed from decades giving seminars, workshops, and lectures. She never lost a crowd in all her years of public speaking.
After a successful small business career, she decided it was time to turn her vocation, helping others, into an occupation and was ordained as a Minister with the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry in June 2022.

Community
Kirsty is passionate about helping others: she volunteers as a mentor for local businesses, facilitates a writers’ group, assists with on-hill activities at Craigleith Ski Club, manages the Transcription Team for her Buddhist teacher, Alan Wallace, and helps at a local meditation centre.
Spirituality
Kirsty found Buddhism in the late 1990s and has never looked back. She spends time meditating every morning, attends bi-yearly retreats, and studies with Buddhist teachers. She lives by the words of His Holiness Dalai Lama: My religion is very simple, my religion is kindness.
Activity
When not offering marriage and other ceremonies, Kirsty stays active skiing, as a member of the 5 Rhythms meditative movement community, swimming in Georgian Bay and spending time with her two children and life partner.
